• Successfully kickstarted a group of enthusiastic developers committing to building quality open source components for the web, with over 100 million installations of our code over 5 years - The PHP League of Extraordinary Packages.
• Largest worldwide community contributor to the Laravel PHP framework in 2014-2015, shaping the current form of the framework, presently in the top 20 contributors worldwide.
• Worked directly with various universities, media organisations and government funded bodies to implement solutions both in the Ecommerce and web app realms.

• Specialised in Ecommerce website development, from conceptualisation to completion, implementing solutions in a wide range of clients, from small business through enterprise, using appropriate tooling for each project.
• Custom web apps to convert business dreams into real, functioning systems, with a particular focus on maintainability through robust, tested code to enable ongoing code evolutions as business goals were refined.˝
• Development and testing of RESTful APIs facilitating third party integrations and extensibility to both existing and greenfield projects.

2014 - 2017 Lead Developer, Ecommerce Team Retail Express

• Designed, implemented and maintained a SAAS-model to host client websites, based on the popular Magento 1 framework, leading to a rollout of over 1,000 Ecommerce websites.
• Engineered a solid integration between Retail Express and Magento 2 that had one uniquely challenging requirement - realtime sync without a performance impact on the website.
• Remotely coordinated a small team of 3 in-house developers plus several remote contractors.

2012 - 2015 Lead Developer Cartalyst LLC

• Engineered an entire Ecommerce ecosystem built with small, framework-agnostic PHP packages with solid integrations back to Laravel.
• Managed a small team of 3-4 developers on the implementation and support of the software produced.
• Travelled to conferences in a developer evangelism capacity to educate on Cartalyst's offerings.

2009 - 2011 Developer & Network Engineer TJS Technology

• Implement networking solutions for clients including installation and customisation of physical hardware and IT support.
• Full implementation of a number of simple and Ecommerce websites liaising with clients from design to launch and beyond.
